Course Description

In this lesson, ExecSense examines virtual reality and its potential impact on industries like gaming and beyond. Take the 40 minutes to view this session to learn about the latest VR hardware and software developments, what industries it’s impacting today, and how your business could benefit.

This 5-chapter lesson is led by VR expert, Stephanie Riggs (President of Sunchaser Entertainment) and focuses on what to consider when engaging with VR platforms and companies, creative implementations of the technology, and how to distinguish between the power of innovation and the risk of experimental investment.

In this 40-minute session, you will learn:

  • What “virtual reality” is with an in-depth explanation of the most modern technology, hardware, and content; how augmented reality, mixed reality and virtual reality differ; and an analysis of the impact of new VR developments on the business world
  • A comprehensive list of the different types of virtual reality and why they should matter to your business; a breakdown of major players in VR hardware and software development; and how room-scale VR experiences are changing talent development, education, and more
  • What business sectors are actively investing in virtual reality models and content including gaming, entertainment, military training, education, marketing, real estate, healthcare, retail, and sports, and how other companies are using the technology in surprising ways
  • Case studies of business-to-consumer and business-to-business exchanges that used virtual reality experiences to cut costs, improve customer experiences, and increase sales and social media exposure
  • How to know if virtual reality experiences might make sense for your business, and how implementing those systems can save money, impress customers, and more effectively distribute content by starting with your business, not the technology
