Koreen has practiced law for over 20 years, concentrating in securities, corporate governance and corporate law; and, serving nearly 10 of those years as general counsel.

Koreen began her career at the Midwest Office (Chicago) of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, practicing nearly five years as an enforcement attorney. While at the SEC, she investigated allegations of violations of the securities laws and enforced the law in areas including private/small offerings (pursuant to Regulations D, S and A), fraud in the offer and/or sale, broker-dealer sales practices, market manipulation, investment adviser practices, accounting irregularities, and professional practice before the SEC. After leaving the SEC, Koreen has worked primarily in-house, advising clients on corporate securities transactions, public disclosure and FD compliance.

Koreen’s former employers include the Chicago law firm, Arnstein & Lehr, Metris Companies (NASDAQ), McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE), Enesco Group, Limited (NYSE), and Empire Today, LLC (private company with public debt). Currently, she is senior counsel for corporate and securities at a pharmaceutical company, Hospira, Inc. (NYSE), located in Lake Forest, Illinois.
