Course Description

The gender pay gap has yet to close. Is your company prepared to help change that? In this lesson, ExecSense and expert, Deborah Ashton, Ph.D. (Vice President & Chief Diversity Officer – Novant Health), discuss why HR Executives should make even wages a top priority for their company and how their business can benefit.

In this 30-minute session, you will learn:

  • Why there remains a 20% gap in wages between genders, and what you can do as an HR Executive to reduce disproportionate wages when making new hires
  • An in-depth look at the obstacles and institutional practices that lead to pay disparities, and how you can create a positive workplace culture that encourages equality and talent development without bias
  • The direct benefits your company stands to gain from instituting gender pay gap policies and why it may be a key to future growth
  • How to ensure your company is going above and beyond its legal obligations, and what laws currently in place encourage gender pay gap reduction
  • Specific case studies of like-minded HR Executives who have made reducing the gender pay gap an essential part of their companies’ ethos, how their results benefited their businesses, and what you can do to apply the same learnings
